/perl/printenv.pl is now A-OK.

perl -wc <scriptname> can always be a big help.  The on-line API docs are
useful too.  http://www.modperl.com/book/chapters/ch9.html

I've also upgraded mod_perl to 1.19 (released this week) on both http and
https servers.
