"Linux Knowledge Base"

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Well our friend over at cheek.com also has an announcement at lwn.net for
his site. Being the paranoid person that I am, it occured to me that we
have a problem. While we own "linuxkb" the domain (com, net, org) we
don't own "Linux Knowledge Base". He got there first.

This brings up the question:

Do we confuse the users with 2 Linux Knowledge Base's? I don't think that
is a good idea.

Which means we need to come up with some solutions. Here's some ideas of
questionable quality in no particular order:

1) We sell linuxkb.{org|com|net} to cheek.com and register a new domain
like linuxsupport or linuxinfo or something. We'd sell linuxkb so we can
pay to register the new domain. From Jason's email, it sounds like cheek
would be willing to buy it from us at cost. We'd rename our site to
something else.

2) We get cheek.com to rename their site and make a press release giving
"Linux Knoweldge Base" to us.

3) Same as #1, but cheek doesn't purchase linuxkb from us.

4) We become linuxkb.seul.org or something else along those lines. Again,
we'd have to rename the site.

5) Once we go live, cheek.com redirects users to our site when they visit
their LKB.

Hopefully some of you will also have some other ideas.

With that said, I hope we can find a way to keep linuxkb and "Linux
Knowledge Base". I have no doubt that our site will be superior once we go
live. The concept of LKB is a powerful one, it would be a shame for a
less than stellar site to own it.
