Good news, bad news

Whelp after about 10 hours of debugging I figured out the cause of the ssl
server crashing- a bad CA. After creating a new CA, httpd doesn't core
anymore.

But, you know it wasn't that easy... Of course now, it won't bind to port
443, saying that it's "busy". Funny thing is that netstat -an doesn't
show 443 in use. Also lsof won't work because the /boot/System.map
doesn't match the running kernel (whatever the heck that means). Anyone
know how to generate a new "System.map"?

So after another hour I decide to reboot the box. 30 minutes later, I'm
still waiting to be able to ping it. Just isn't my night.

Anyways, I'm going to go to NaviSite when I wake up (it's 1:15am now). I'm
hoping that the delay is that for some reason the timeout in LILO got
messed up and it's just waiting for someone to hit enter.

If not, at least NaviSite is near the beach, and this weekend is going to
be in the 80's- finally getting some nice weather here in Ca.

I've also contacted NaviSite to let them know the server is down so they
won't bother waking Jason or myself up at this ungodly hour.

Have a great weekend people...
