The console will definately be an option, but I haven't decided where to
get the functions from from in the pure-GUI mode. I want to make a
descision that makes it very user-friendly.

Yes, these icons would be cool. Also I will eventually need 64x64 icons
for a 2d plot and a 3d plot icons on the tool palette, right now I am
using red diamonds as placeholders.

I hope you didn't include the canvas stuff! I just started working on it.
