Hi there,
The component chooser *is not* a file chooser. It lists several "sources" of
symbols; one type of "source" is a directory.
The way the file format works would make it meaningless for the component
chooser to work like a file chooser.
However, once I work out how to persuade people that it's a good idea to bump
the file format to support default embedding in a more elegant way, then
something of the sort might be possible.
Hope that makes things clearer.
