Ok, did what you said and when I try the mount command I get
"mount: mount point /media/cdrom does not exist"

Subject: Re: gEDA-user: CD driver permissions so GEDA can install
The document on teh web is a little old, and newer distros work
differently than they used to. Here's what I recommend:
1. Put the CD in. The computer will automount it.
2. unmount it manually (from the command line). You may need to do this as root.
3. mount the CD again, like this:
mount -o exec /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom
4. Run the installer (with the log file flag set):
/media/cdrom/installer --log
when you run it, make sure you are sitting in a writable directory,
like your own home directory. This is so that the log file can be
written. (The log file is always written into your $CWD).

When I put the CD into the drive KDE automounts it and asks if I want to autorun, but when I click yes it doesn't start the install. If I try to kick off the install manually I get a permission denied error. >From what I read I should be able to add exec to the end of the dev/cdrom line in my fstab, but there is NO such line in my fstab. When I add a line in the fstab file for the cdrom the automount quits working and gives a permission error. What do I need to do to get this to work?
