gEDA-user: Suse-10.1

I have successfully installed gEDA on SuSE 10.1.  I don't recall
having to install guile.  Perhaps you should use yast to install
guile-devel from your install medial, rather than
recompiling and installing it?

Alternately, download and install a later version of guile.  I believe
1.6.4. is a year or two old.

Here are my install notes when using the CD installer on SuSE 10.1:
