I thought that perhaps the problem was related to the m4 parts library.
So I carefully replaced all of the footprints with file elements from
your collection. I have even gone so far as to rename the m4 directory
to keep it from being searched at all. It doesn't help.
The only footprint that I had to create was for a variable resistor.
(Light bulb goes on)
Dope slap time for me. While writing this it suddenly occurred to me
that I am getting 2 extra "PCB" lines and I have two instances of this
variable resistor.
I thought that I had carefully followed the procedure for creating new
footprints but I must have missed something as it looks like a regular
schematic. gsch2pcb is obviously just inserting the whole file. A quick
edit corrects this problem.
This schematic/pcb is actually just a diversion from the project I had
been working on. It was simple and looked like a better way to break
into learning the tools. I looked at the footprints I created for that
project and not one of them has this problem. Sigh.
Sorry for wasting everyones time.
