Hi All,
Most VLSI EDA system always use the hierarchical
directory scheme as it is done in gEDA now, even
in Linux, OSX, Windows. I Just hope we are not
going backward.

Windows NTFS is case-insensitive but case preserving. FAT is upper
case only, but rare enough to not worry about.
I don't think these will stop you from using a directory as "the
project" any more than they stop you from using the directory to store
*.sch files.
