Well, yeah.

We don't have to use the actual HID API to hook them in, it's just
convenient to do so for the exporters because they're doing mostly the
same thing as the screen - printing.

For importers and wizards, we can certainly add a new API to register
them as such, since they'd only get called from the menus anyway.
