I've reviewed the following patches, and they look good to me:
Tell git to ignore .exe files.
Tell git to ignore the ylwrap file.
Remove uneeded MinGW-only libraries.
Use forward slashes as path separators on MinGW.
Use g_path_is_absolute from GLIB instead of platform specific code.
MinGW does not have symlinks.
MinGW does not have sys/wait.h.
MinGW does not have getuid nor getgid.
Replace index and rindex by strchr and strrchr.
As far as I can tell, I'd be happy to merge these. Any objections?
