That would be nice, I've been following the cairo mailing-list and it
seems that they've got the performance issues of early releases mostly
solved. I suspect these changes will help too.
I'll have to investigate how (if) cairo does XOR drawing, and how that
plays with its default mode of anti-aliasing things.
A plus point, is that the X server's line rasterisation algorithm
produces ugly results for some angles. (I saw a comparison recently to
the "preferred" algorithm that MS Windows and others use.)
