If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. :-)
John and Al are two poles in the EDA community. Both reflect in their
arguments the standing point of their league. (If it can be said that
way) They are definitively not alone, but few stand up to take the
argument. But that said, we now know the standing point of John and
Al, so there should be no need for the two of them to continue the
discussion at this level. In fact, I think that their agenda is so
different that further discussion at this level will not bring them
closer, and it may trigger a flame war that eventually hurt the common
goal: Create a free and open source EDA alternative with which
products can be made.
This is my opinion, I speak only for myself.
