Insulting users is not the way to win friends. Coming on like a snake  
oil salesman is surely insulting.

Exactly! We have a flow that works well. Why replace it with  
something unproven and radically different? Why not just improve it?

My agenda is this: gEDA is a *great* EDA system. Radically  
restructuring it the way you seem to want for *your* agenda is  
dangerous.
