Ok, I was working with 1.6.x to ensure compatibility with Gschem. If
1.8.x works in Mingw, it might be worth me swapping, and mopping up any
remaining bugs.
I realise with 1.6.x at least, I'd need to work around / fix
"(popen ...)" and / or "(primitive-fork ...)", I wonder if they've got a
more portable way in 1.8.x... will check later in the week.
