We're using bleeding edge tools frequently...  We can handle the risk.
We know how to back up data, and PCB has a usually working undo function...
I say it's better to give one's intentions free rein than worry about tripping
because of accidental key pressing.

IT is a departure from single key bind keys though -- you have a two
key sequence there in effect.

I can imagine a "same-angle rubber band mode" that would be the next
thing to do right after two escape keys.  You'd be dragging a net sideways to
hit a design rule and rapidly get a tight routing, the press your favorite key for
drawing lines -- maybe not even the F2 key...

But I'll live just fine if I end up doing that with <esc>  then a bind key for arrow/select.
