I don't know anything about SoC, but as a Ph.D. student at Ohio State
(in Columbus), I could probably serve as a mentor for someone there.
I'm not a professor, but I have 11 years of industry experience (not
including work I did before I got my B.S.) in software development
under my belt.

I could probably help someone spec, design, test, and debug their
project.  I'd leave the coding to them.  :)
