gEDA-dev: State of the symbols library

Hi folks,

The symbols library is in an absolutely shocking state, according to
gsymcheck! I hacked together a quick and dirty script which tells me:

  Totals: 2974 symbols 26326 warnings

Which is just under 8 warnings per symbol!

I attach the script and the current output.

Is gsymcheck wrong? Does this mean that gsymcheck needs updating? Or does
there need to be a lot of work done on the libraries?

Or should we just distribute fewer libraries (most people make their own
anyway, and a smaller library would be easier to maintain). The existing ones
could go onto gedasymbols.org...?

Peter
