gEDA-dev: gschem segmentation faults

I am running gschem version  20050313 on FC2.

I noticed that if the gschem.log is set to read-only I get a segmentation fault
when I start gschem.

Also gschem aborts if  I mistakenly try to load a PCB file. I get a bunch of
parsing error messages followed by the lines ---

gschem: o_text_basic.c:959: o_text_read: Assertion `num_lines &&
num_lines > 0' failed.
Aborted
