gEDA-dev: Merge of noscreen branch to date - PLEASE HOLD CVS COMMITS

Hi,

I'm just in the process of final testing before committing a merge
between noscreen and HEAD in CVS.

If people could avoid committing to CVS HEAD until this is done, it
would be great. I should be done testing shortly.
