IMHO the guideline should be "personal and friendly".  If a job
posting starts out with "Hey, I'm looking for someone to..." I'm more
OK with it than one that starts out with "Foo Corp is looking for..."

And it should be on-topic, which means mentioning gEDA, PCB, etc.

Also, a history of posting on the list is better than someone who's
only contribution is a job posting.
