I'm experimenting with some new dynamic compression routines in CVS:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous at gtkwave.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/gtkwave login
[press enter]
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous at gtkwave.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/gtkwave co -P gtkwave3
...at the command line, add the flag --giga in order to activate the new
code. There is a lot more going on under the hood in the vlist code as
compared to 3.1.1 and I'd like to see that it gets some amount of testing
outside of what I've been throwing at it which isn't a whole lot. (It's
been one each of a 500MB, 1GB, 2.5GB, and 3.5GB VCD file on a laptop with
512MB RAM, no swap thrashing encountered on any of the files. Don't
expect that with a gate level simulation having half a million nets+
though.)
Thanks,
-Tony
