Now has more changes,

I've rolled in a couple of improvements from an old patch of Patrick
Bernaud's which never got merged (related to rotating objects).

There are cleanups for translating objects, and now (not fully tested),
code which uses GLists of OBJECTs for attribute placement and
paste-buffers. This saves a lot of code.
