I updated to the latest gEDA on my FC5 box today (Sept 5).  Then I
followed Peter's procedure for producing crashes (i.e. load a
schematic, place parts, close it, discard parts, then place more parts
on next window which opens).  I have left gschem running with teh new
parts living on teh new window for about 4 -- 5 hours.  I am happy to
say that no crash has occurred so far.

What was the crash frequency previously?
