I did wounder...

I found the "ddd" project used to use libiberty, and did this. I could
copy their configure.ac sections for configuring builtin / extrenal
libiberty. I'm afraid to say, they removed libiberty citing it causing
lots of trouble.

Do we need to automate the fetch of the latest libiberty somehow?
