gEDA-dev: Fedora Core 5 issues

Guys,

I'm just recording some info here in case others run up against the
same problems.

Red Hat, in their infinite wisdom, have done some strange things to
FC5. I just recently built a new machine with FC5. I tried to put
together a maximal install, i.e. I tried to manually configure the
system to get as many development packages onto the system as
possible. Even though I am not bad at installing gEDA onto all kinds
of distros (after several years of practice), FC5 has found new ways
to shaft me. Here are a couple of issues which may be of interest
to folks trying to build from CVS:

* The gettext package is installed, but for some reason autopoint is
not. THis causes gschem's autogen.sh script to barf when it looks for
autopoint. You need to get the latest sources from GNU and re-install
gettext in order to get autopoint.

* latex2html is required to build docs. This didn't get installed on
my box either. YOu need to download it and install it to build gEDA
from CVS.

As always, please direct all flames and questions to me.

Stuart
