Sorry for the confusion Ales; the patches I've been posting to the mailing 
list weren't really intended for committing yet, they're just to help other 
developers see where I'm playing around and try stuff out if they want to.  
When each patchset is fully cooked I'll submit it via the SourceForge 
tracker.

I'll try and make that clearer in my future patch e-mails.
