gEDA-dev: Making Debian packages

Hi there,

I'm being asked to make geda .deb packages of our development snapshots
for internal testing here on our custom Knoppix distro.

I'd very much appreciate it if whoever it is who currently does the
packaging could give me some pointers as to how best to deal with this.
