To get rid of the titleblock, just edit your system-gschemrc file and
comment out the code following this stuff:
; Automatically place a titleblock (or other components) when creating
; a new page.
FWIW, a semicolon ";" is the comment character you need.
Alternately, you can edit the stuff there to change the opening
titleblock to whatever size you want. It's pretty self-explanatory
what to do.
Personally, I like having the titleblock present when I start gschem.
I also think it helps newbies orient themselves. I'm grateful to
Carlos for adding this nice feature! Thanks, Carlos!
