You're not. There are a LOT of inconsistencies between the gschem symbol
pinouts and the ~geda library pinouts, and I'm not sure which is wrong.
I was nearly caught out by the potentiometer symbol the other day -- most
manufacturers' data sheets seem to list the tapping point as pin 2, where as
the geda symbol has it as pin 3.
And don't get me started on SOT25... >:-(
