Yes. If you scope the two outputs of the XORs, you get one of two
possibilities:
1. They're each "slowly" changing in duty cycle from 100% to 0% and
back as the two oscillators drift in and out of phase, or
2. They're locked at one being near 100% and the other near 0% as the
two oscillators have injection locked in phase.
Either result counts as "success" because the oscillators wouldn't
oscillate if you didn't get the 01005's or 0201's in right, and any
shorts or opens in the two ICs would foul things up too.
Unfortunately, the 01005 caps aren't available larger than 0.01uF,
which results in a frequency too high to visually see (1-3kHz). I was
hoping the phase drift would produce a visible "throb" in the LEDs,
but the injection locking messed that up. See the archives for the
