To reproduce:

Include a 'picture' into a schematic.  Zoom extents, and print either to postscript or right to the printer.  Printed graphic is very low resolution, blocky.

Zoom in on graphic so that it fills the screen.  Print again.  Printed graphic is now full quality, high resolution.
