Its odd that there are two version numbers with the same date. Is this a
fink thing?

There is a bug fix which is in the git repository:

"Possible fix for bug #1748079: CRASH: gschem segfault on file save or open"

There will be a  new release within the next week (and it might be a
"stable" release), so perhaps it would be useful to update to that when
its out. (Does fink package things quickly?)

Alternatively, you could grab a copy of the source as is from the git
repository. The only differences we really expect between now and a
released version should be translation updates.
