Update & Thoughts

I have a few things I want to say.

1) I'll be on IRC at various times this weekend... aproximately 4 hours on
Saturday and 6 - 8 hours on Sunday as I code. So if ya wanna try hoppin
on or sumthin to catch up with me, there ya go.

2) Licenses. After reviewing all of them carefully... I come up with
this: They're all fine. I'm not afraid of the consequences of any.
Aaron poured a bunch of time into the one he developed. His includes some
nice features that the other doesn't. Lets go with it. It offers us a
little more than the NOD/OPL. If our lic turns into a big issue in the
community... we can always restructure for the OPL. People change lic's
all the time. Moving to the OPL would be fine. Moving away from the OPL
would be disasterous, so lets start away from it, with Aaron's... and see
how things go. If everyone is happy with it, then we have everything we
want. :) So I put this issue to rest.

3) Lets announce on Wed. of next week. I say that because I want to be
ready for the feedback, and be able to spend a lot of time with email on
the days following the announcment. We'll post our pages Tuesday night,
and announce Wed. morning. Mon. & Tue are big days for me and I'll have
little time.

4) Category structure. I've put a ton of thought into it the past few
days and have come up with a resolution to our problems. I don't think I
can totally do away with the need to put some development effort into
HTDig, but what I have will work, and I think it will be easier for
everyone to understand. It will also GREATLY simplify the process of
categorizing links and articles later.

I'll be spending my coding time this weekend implimenting those changes...
no one's code should be affected. I still need to have a long
conversation with Dan on the Article submission system and the Q&A
stuff... but it should be easy to square my thoughts away on those
matters.

Good day to you all.
