Al & Jason,

What's the situation on the IBM NetFinity box? Can we get a rack mount
version? How many RU's is it? If not, how tall does it stand?

Also, how important do people think tape backups are with mirrored disks
and/or servers? NaviSite has had to take back their offer for free daily
tape backups, and VAR is not providing a tape backup device. VAR is
however providing two 9GB disks which we can mirror.

I might be pushing it to ask Chris of VAR for a tape backup and tapes for
the box, so I don't want to do it unless people think it is important.
We're already getting a lot from them and we don't have anything to show
for it yet. And I don't want to seem too greedy. :-)

Assuming that we have everything in CVS, mirroring the disks should be
enough. If a disk goes bad, VA will get us a disk in a couple of days.
If we have the IBM box then that gives us even more redundancy, at which
point tapes probably become more difficult to manage.

Of course the IBM has to fit in the space NaviSite is giving us (1/3 of a
cabinet). Hence getting a rack mount to save space is *important*.
