Re: gEDA-user: Has anyone in this group seriously used KiCAD?



    Same here, I remember some aspects were difficult to figure out, and
    some basic features were lacking (didnt have copy/paste at the time but
    it does now), but at the same time it had advanced features like 3d
    models for parts.  It would be nice if geda and kicad could read each
    other's file formats, or if we could agree on a standard intermediate
    format that both can read/write. I could give it a better evaluation
    knowing I can put a bunch of hours into it and having my work available
    in geda if for some reason I don't want to use kicad.
    Actually, I remember more headaches starting with geda, but that was
    around 2003 and there was no choice.

    I did a design in it just for the devcon slides.  I remember it being
    difficult to use, but I don't remember any specifics.
