Maybe a command line option like:

pcb --record-macro <filename>

could do what Kai-Martin suggests in the above.

In this mode all sorts of not specific stuff could be ignored and specific
commands could be honed into the exact syntax needed.

Just my EUR 0.02 on the subject :)
