I am still not comfortable with git. Which of the various update commands 
"git-fetch", "git-pull", "git-checkout" and "git-clone" would be 
appropriate?

If I do "git checkout origin/cairo_experiment" in pcjc2 I get: 

M	Makefile
HEAD is now at a17d2fd... Hack around crash observed when trying to undo 
whilst moving.

Is this the expected result or am I missing something?
