I examined you patch, you seem to have gone farther on some areas. I 
remained basically on the core (libgeda/gschem/gattrib). I will merge 
some of your changes, thanks.

I am in the process of splitting my monolithic patch into several 
topical patches, introducing feature tests and replacing missing 
features with glib functions where possible.
