gEDA: PCB and GAFs use of /tmp to protect us when we are being really dumb
To the authors and implementors of PCB and GAF,
I had just completed a major project. Board layed out, passed the drc
looked beautifull.
So, lets clean up the directory, generate a pdf for the schematcs and
send the board out.
So, since i was using emacs which generated backup files with the "~"
character at the end of the file name I type...
rm *
notice that i forgot the damn "~" and poof all that work was gone....
heart attack city....
last night i recalled an earlier discussion about files being saved in
the /tmp directory... today i found the destroyed work....
What is a weeks worth of work to me?
Steak and Lobster Dinners for the developers.
Thanks... Did I say Thanks... I mean really really really thanks.
