I can't speak to PADS2000, but if it bears any resemblance to previous
PADS formats, then there may be hope if the schematic was exported instead
of saved. If it's binary, you may have some luck asking the original
designers to export in ASCII.

I think someone (Dan?) did a PADS netlist creator (as a gnetlist backend),
but I have not heard of any efforts translating from PADS to gEDA.
