We design our Xilinx CPLDs with Solaris-based tools, but the
performance of the Multilinx (and Xchecker) cables under Solaris is
really terrible -- particularly with large devices.  (We've had more
than one experience where jtagprog + the Multilinx cable have caused
the CPLD to latch up and smoke during programming.)

We'll use NAXJP with Linux, and see if we can get it to work reliably
on Sparc machines.
