	Yeah, I have some updating of that README to do.  If you use
my toplevel make file, you can run:

	make reconfig		(runs automake/autoconf on all subdirs)
	make			(set those variables)
	make install		(does the build)

	I've written this several times in the mail archives, but just
haven't put it in a README (how lame of me).
