gEDA: How to start?

[ You need to be a little bit more specific as to what version and what
  OS, and how you installed the gEDA-gaf.  If you are running the cygwin
  version then you need to set some environment variables.  Wait a few
  days and there will be a new way of installing the cygwin version
  available (hopefully) :)  -Ales ]

Dear All,

I am a beginner of using gEDA. After I install the gEDA. Everything looks
fine. So I begin to run the gschem by typing gschem. The return is 'Could
not find a gschemrc file'.

Can anyone tell me what's happening?
